Sensei Laura began training under the AKKO with the East Coast Branch Chief Sensei Jason Pransky, and since 2005, she has been under Kyoshi Armando Cappa. Sensei Laura holds the rank of a Shodan, a first-degree black belt, and also has a first level teacher’s certificate that allows her to instruct and hold her own classes with out assistance. Sensei Laura has competed at in and out of state tournaments placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in kumite and kata. She has taught classes up at the Northridge dojo with Kyoshi Cappa, and will be working with Sensei Juan Perez, as well. Sensei Laura is also a student at Cal Lutheran University, where she plans to graduate with a B.S. degree in Exercise Science & Sports Medicine. |
